hunger relief through the
power of creator communities.

Built for institutional trust

Three principles govern every decision we make about structure, governance, and public accountability.

Governed

A board of directors with majority independent membership. Written conflict-of-interest policy requiring recusal from votes on inter-entity agreements. Independent directors approve all agreements between the Foundation and FoodFund Inc.

Transparent

Fee structure published openly: Stripe processing at 2.2% + $0.30, plus a 4% platform fee. Approximately 93–94% of a typical donation reaches the food bank. Impact reports and financial filings made available as required.

Financial transparency

Accountable

Donations held in accounts segregated from operating funds. Disbursements made to verified food bank partners within 30 days after month-end. Tax receipts issued for every qualifying contribution. Partners verified as 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing.

The Model

How the Foundation works

Every dollar given through the FoodFund platform follows a defined, governed path from donor to food bank.

  1. Donor gives through the FoodFund platform

Contributions are processed by Stripe at nonprofit pricing and deposited directly to FoodFund Foundation’s designated charitable account.

  2. Foundation holds funds in segregated accounts

Charitable funds are kept entirely separate from Foundation operating funds and from FoodFund Inc.’s commercial accounts. They are never used to pay creator fees or platform costs.

  3. Tax receipts issued to every donor

FoodFund Foundation issues a tax receipt for every qualifying contribution. Donors receive confirmation through the platform immediately after processing.

  4. Funds disbursed to verified food bank partners

Within 30 days after each month-end, net proceeds are disbursed to active food bank partners. Every partner is a verified 501(c)(3) organization in good standing with written consent on file.

“Hunger relief through authentic storytelling and accountable giving.”

We publish our fees openly.
No hidden numbers.

Stripe processing costs 2.2% + $0.30. The FoodFund platform fee is 4%. On a typical $50 donation, the food bank receives approximately $46.40 — around 92.8¢ of every dollar. We consider this a competitive net-to-cause ratio for a fully managed digital giving platform, and we make no attempt to obscure it.
